NHS wait time threshold

  • If you’ve been a member for at least six months and your NHS wait time is longer than the threshold below you can contact us to discuss your case.
  • Please make sure you receive our authorisation before proceeding with any appointments. We will not provide funding if you proceed with any appointments without our authorisation.
  • Authorisation of Diagnosis and Treatment services is dependent on your NHS wait time and your Surgical Treatment eligibility period^


Before you call us you must have: 

  • Been referred for a diagnosis by a qualified NHS practitioner.
  • Your wait time must be longer than the current threshold.

Before you call us you must have: 

  • A CCSD code. This stands for Clinical Coding and Schedule Development Group. This is your treatment procedure code; your consultant should be able to provide this code as standard.

  • The procedure required. View our approved procedure list.

  • A copy of the consultant's report.

  • Your wait time must be longer than the current threshold.


^If you joined us before 19 February 2024 you can request Medical Treatment after six months of membership. If you joined us on or after 19 February 2024 you can request Medical Treatment after 24 months of membership.
