Our new workplace wellbeing research found that employee health remains a taboo subject at work, even though 51% of employees have a health condition. After surveying over 2,000 employees across different generations to understand the health conditions they are currently facing we found:

  • 1 in 5 workers have suffered with mental health difficulties.

  • More than half of workers have a health issue, long-term condition, or disability yet only 19% have told their employer about it.

  • 13% of workers have left a job due to a health issue or long-term condition or disability.

  • More than a third of employees have lied to an employer about taking time off for an appointment.
