Support through early detection with health assessments
The NHS Health Check is estimated to have prevented 2,500 heart attacks or strokes in its first five years, due to people receiving post-check treatment. However, an NHS health check is 20 to 30 minutes long and only available via invitation to 40 to 74-year-olds.
A comprehensive health assessment is a way of taking proactive action to help identify health risks before they become serious and to flag up any early intervention that might be needed. Health Cash Plan
Dental patient charges increased by £25.3 million in 2015-16, according to the NHS. To help manage these costs, and those of other routine health appointments, Benenden’s new health cash plan offers money back on regular trips to the dentist, optician and more. Why do we offer more than personal healthcare?
Benenden’s aim is to support you and your family with what matters most – your health and wellbeing. That’s why we continue to invest in improving our services, while bringing out new products such as travel insurance and a health cash plan to support you further in more aspects of your wellbeing. As we have a large community of members, we can negotiate good deals and offers through the products we develop for members. Because Benenden is a not-for-profit, if members take up these products, members benefit, as surplus funds are invested back into the community, helping us to support more members’ needs.
About our healthcare
Benenden Health provides affordable private healthcare for everyone, giving you access to services such as our 24/7 GP Helpline and Mental Health Helpline straight away. Once you’ve been a member for six months you can request access to diagnostic consultations and tests, and if needed, treatment and surgery.
You'll also have access to a wealth of health and wellbeing articles, videos and advice on a range of health issues.
