9th May 2012
Following its win in 2011, the mutual health & wellbeing organisation, Benenden Healthcare Society has once again been shortlisted in the Moneywise Customer Service Awards for 2012.
Benenden Healthcare, which is based in York and provides a range of services for a membership of over 900,000 across the UK, is shortlisted in the healthcare category alongside Aviva, AXA PPP, Bupa, Pruhealth and Simplyhealth.
More than 14,000 people voted for the awards which recognise the most trustworthy and reliable financial service companies in the UK. This number of respondents makes it the biggest customer service survey of its kind in the UK.
Marc Bell, Marketing & Business Strategy Director at Benenden Healthcare, said ‘Our win in 2011 was a proud moment for everyone at Benenden Healthcare, so to be shortlisted once again in 2012 is excellent news for all staff and members.
‘We pride ourselves on our caring approach to customer service where members truly are at the heart of everything we do. Our business plans are geared towards maximising the experience of all members who contribute to our mutual status.
‘We never rest on our laurels and the past twelve months have seen more services offered to members than ever before as well as a consistently high percentage of customer satisfaction in our regular feedback surveys.’
In 2011, 337,608 calls from Benenden Healthcare members were received at its Registered Office in York. Calls can cover a wide range of membership issues from change of details to requests for assistance. In total, the Society was able to offer services to 93,000 of its membership and 99% of members who used the Society’s services were satisfied.
Benenden Healthcare is also pleased to note the strong presence of other mutuals and co-operatives across all shortlists such as John Lewis and The Co-operative.
The winners will be revealed at a gala dinner in London on 21 June.
