13th August 2013
Mutual healthcare provider benenden health have been chosen by Kent-based legal firm Martin Tolhurst Solicitors to provide health and wellbeing services as part of a corporate health plan to over 100 staff members.
Signing up to benenden health’s corporate health plan means that employees of the long-established firm of solicitors will have access to a wide range of discretionary healthcare services and will benefit from expert medical advice, prompt diagnosis and treatment, as well as 24-hour, UK based GP and Psychological Wellbeing Helplines.
Laurie Parker, National Sales Manager at benenden health said: “It’s great news to have an organisation like Martin Tolhurst Solicitors coming on board as a corporate member.
“After our members made the decision to widen eligibility criteria last year, Benenden Health can now offer our healthcare services to sectors which had previously not been eligible to join - such as those working in the legal field.
“We very much champion health and wellbeing in the workplace and understand the impact this can have on productivity and absence management. We look forward to working with Martin Tolhurst Solicitors to ensure their staff are healthy and happy in the workplace.”
Cathanne Craigie, Personnel Manager at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors said: “The health and well-being of our staff is crucial to us as an organisation and so we are delighted to work with benenden health to offer a corporate health plan to our employees.
“Staff will have access to a wide range of discretionary healthcare services under the scheme which we see as a key benefit. It is an excellent, good value way to provide our employees with reassurance on healthcare.”
In June 2012 members of the mutual healthcare provider voted to open eligibility criteria – meaning that corporate membership was no longer restricted to specific sectors. Martin Tolhurst Solicitors are part of a varied range of new corporate members who are signing up their employees to the healthcare scheme.
