Benenden health, the leading mutual healthcare provider, has announced the addition of the Woodland Hospital in Kettering to its network of approved hospitals across the UK. This comes as part of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to reducing the amount of time spent by members in travelling for treatment.
The introduction of this hospital, which has recently had a £4.2 million redevelopment investment to enhance facilities, will improve accessibility for 20,986 benenden health members who live in the local catchment area.
Jon Craven, Acting Member Services Director at benenden health, said: “We are constantly seeking to enhance our network of approved hospitals to ensure that we can make the travel times for members as short as possible.

“The facilities at the Woodland Hospital are of a very high standard and members in Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas can access the full range of benenden health’s services at this location. The standards of care delivered by the experienced consultants and nursing staff at the hospital are of the very best quality and we feel this will be a strong addition to our network of hospitals.”
Woodland Hospital offers a wide range of diagnostic services which are commissioned by Benenden Health - including a paediatric service from 3 years+. All diagnostics are on site as is physiotherapy and pharmacy.

NB. All members living in the NN (Northampton area), MK (Milton Keynes area) and SG (Stevenage area) postcodes will now be able to go to the Woodland Hospital for their treatment.
Any referrals for treatment by members initiated before the 2nd January 2014 will continue to be dealt with under the existing arrangements.
