Benenden Health takes the stage at international mutuals forum
24th November 2014
This week Benenden Health will be presenting at a two-day conference on the 24th/25th November organised by the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF).
ICMIF, the association for mutual and cooperatives insurers around the world, are staging their 2014 Communication Leaders Forum (CLF) in Singapore – with the aim of helping member organisations increase the quality of their communications, improving their brand visibility and growing their market share.
Benenden Health - as a leading UK mutual healthcare provider - have been invited to present a case study at this event, focusing on their successful use of integrated communications strategies.
Paul Keenan, Group Head of Communications at Benenden Health will represent the organisation, discussing how the role of mutuals can be promoted to Government and policymakers through effective and integrated communications.
Paul Keenan said, “Our presentation will draw on the successes of our work with the leading think tank, Respublica, earlier in the year. Working with them we produced a report which added clarity of thought to how a mutual model could work in the UK healthcare system. This ICMIF event will be an opportunity to showcase how we have promoted the role of mutuals in UK healthcare, to politicians and policymakers, through an integrated communications strategy.
“I’m delighted that Benenden has been invited to present at this year’s Communication Leaders Forum as this will be an opportunity to highlight to other mutuals and cooperatives from around the world the leading role that Benenden has taken to promote the value of mutuals to the UK healthcare system..”
The report being discussed - ‘Power to the People: the mutual future of our National Health Service’ - explores how a mutual model for integrated care can be developed by positioning mutual organisations at the centre of a new, integrated network of public, private and third sector health organisations.
The two day event will be hosted by NTUC Income (Singapore) at the Raffles Convention Centre, where delegates will be offered the opportunity to attend a variety of events including CEO panels, master-class sessions and hear innovative member case studies.
