Benenden visited by Dr Andrew Murrison MP
24th September 2015
On Friday 25th September, Conservative MP Dr Andrew Murrison will be visiting the York-based offices of health and wellbeing provider, Benenden. This comes as part of the Industry and Parliamentary Trust activity (IPT) which facilitates engagement between Parliament and UK business.
As part of the visit, Dr Murrison, MP for South Wiltshire, will be meeting with senior members of the Benenden leadership team to discuss the future of the healthcare market in the UK and how the organisation works to complement the NHS. The mutual model of healthcare will also be a focus, as well as the business healthcare services Benenden provides.
The visit is part of Dr Murrison’s ongoing work with the Industry and Parliamentary Trust, of which Benenden is an industry supporter. The IPT is an independent, non-partisan charity which is supported by cross-party representation of senior parliamentarians to work in conjunction with UK businesses across all sectors.
Dr Murrison will also have a tour of the Benenden offices during his visit, which currently employs over 240 people in York.
Cheryl Cox, Public Affairs Manager said “We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Andrew Murrison MP to our York office and to giving him an insight into Benenden’s discretionary form of healthcare. It will be great opportunity for us to discuss with him our mutual business model and how Benenden operates in the wider healthcare market.”
