Branch Engagement Officer

The Branch Engagement Team is looking to recruit an additional Branch Engagement Officer to support the team with excellent organisational, administrative and planning skills. This role requires the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, multitasking in a demanding environment and working to a high degree of accuracy.

Reporting to the Senior Branch Engagement Manager, you will work closely with the Conference & Events Executive and Branch Relationship Executive to support a full programme of objectives.

The role will involve:

  • Working with the team on a wide range of tasks including preparing letters, drafting reports and proofing documents accurately and to tight deadlines
  • Providing a comprehensive administration service to our branch network
  • Producing, maintaining and updating information stored on our internal engagement systems and committee website in accordance with GDPR guidelines
  • Answering and resolving telephone and email enquiries
  • Assisting with the organisation of the Society’s Annual Conference, training and member events plus attending these when required
  • Supporting the Annual Member Mailing project to ensure that members are invited to attend the relevant branch meetings; working closely with branch representatives and external suppliers

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Clear and effective communication with ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Understanding of digitalisation in communications and an aptitude to develop additional skills in this area
  • Flexibility and reliability, willing to work additional hours to meet the operational needs as required
  • Knowledge of Data Protection/GDPR
  • IT literacy – proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
