In support of our Commercial Business Plan and expansion of our Corporate Sales Team, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and energetic new Business Development Manager to work in the designated geographical region of Northern Ireland (NI)
This is a home-based role, where you will be responsible for developing and winning new business opportunities in the designated region for our corporate health and wellbeing propositions, nurturing them through the sales funnel.
Working alongside your Telephone Account Manager based in York, you will co-develop and implement a regional strategy that maximises opportunities by utilising your own knowledge of the region’s business market and personal networks to generate sales and deliver against agreed targets.
The role will require you to self-generate your own leads as well as nurture leads provided into active client accounts through face to face and telephone-based business development activities. You will also be required to support worksite events hosted by employers to increase brand awareness and scheme take-up.
You will have proven experience as a new Business Development Manager, ideally in the Health, Wellbeing or Protection markets, consistently delivering results by creating and developing relationships with senior stakeholders and demonstrating strong commercial negotiation skills. Ability to interpret our client’s requirements, you will present our corporate health and wellbeing propositions with clarity and conviction.
Being tenacious, resilient and confident, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication and objection handling skills, you will be comfortable in operating in a regulated field sales environment and be proficient in using a CRM system to effectively manage a sales pipeline and ensure that you are proactively nurturing all new business opportunities along in a timely manner.
Your training will provide you with an intimate knowledge of our products as well as understanding competitor activity and external environment to ascertain how to change and adapt to ensure Benenden Health products are always at the forefront for consideration.

At or around - £41,000 - per anum, pro rata
OTE - Annual Regional Performance Bonus paid quarterly, measured against confirmed new business.
Car Allowance of £550/month (Valid UK driving license and appropriate insurance required)
Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week (9am-5pm) Monday to Friday, although flexibility will be required to meet the needs of our clients.
