Key Account Manager (Intermediary)

In support of our Commercial Business Plan and expansion of our Corporate Sales Team, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and energetic Key Account Manager.

This is a home-based role, where you will be responsible for the strategy to source, on board and embed long term strategic relationships with specialist Employee Benefits intermediaries at a national level, and to develop and promote the Benenden Health corporate proposition and maximise opportunities to secure new corporate clients and generate profitable income for the Society.

Supporting the National Account Manager and working with other internal stakeholders, you will identify appropriate Flexible Benefits and Employee Benefits intermediaries and define and implement an engagement strategy for the identified intermediaries.

You will have proven experience as a Key Account Manager who enjoys working in new business capacity and working with a portfolio of intermediaries to identify and develop new business opportunities, by building and entrenching co-operative relationships for the benefit of mutual clients.

Being tenacious, resilient and confident, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication and objection handling skills, you will be comfortable in operating in a regulated field sales environment. You will be an effective user of CRM systems to manage relationships through regular business review meetings and adoption of a proactive account management approach that meets our governance & risk management requirements.

You will also demonstrate how you work collaboratively with other colleagues and internal company functions to ensure that the intermediary introduced clients always receive the highest level of service to ensure their retention in the long term.

Your training will provide you with an intimate knowledge of our products as well as understanding competitor activity and external environment to ascertain how to change and adapt to ensure Benenden Health products are always at the forefront for consideration.

At or around £45,000 per annum, pro rata plus Annual Performance Bonus paid annually, measured against retention and growth targets

Car Allowance of £550/month (Valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance required)

Hours of Work 

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although flexibility will be required to meet the needs of our clients
