Pay & Reward Assistant

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the HR & Organisational Development Team at Benenden Health in York.

We are currently looking to recruit a Pay & Reward Assistant who will support the Pay & Reward Manager in providing a confidential and accurate monthly payroll. This will include running the payroll on the Access system and supporting the wider HR Operational Team on a wide range of topics including payroll, pensions, reward and benefits and people processes.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for someone who has excellent payroll, analytical and administration experience ideally with some involvement in reward and benefits. You will have great communication skills and the ability to multi task and work well under pressure.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have proven experience in payroll, be organised and enthusiastic. Essential experience of working with excel, outlook and word along with effective team working.

The key result areas will be:

  • Complex calculations of standing data and variable pay such as SMP, overtime, occupational & statutory sick pay, leavers & starters
  • Dealing with Reward and Benefits administration i.e. Benenden Health membership, Cycle Schemes, Discount portal, eye tests
  • Support the Pay & Reward Manager in operational and project related job evaluation, pay and reward activities and benefits administration
  • Support the Operational HR Team with letters, starter and leaver processes and checking and vetting
  • Dealing with queries coming into the department and delivering an excellent customer experience
