Benenden is a mutual friendly society. When you join you become a member and this entitles you to ask for help with healthcare. Plus the member paying the membership is entitled to have a say in how the organisation is run. We are a mutual organisation and key decisions are taken by our members. The more members get involved, the more ideas we have, the better the debate and more informed the final decision.
Our branches are groups of members that form the democratic structure by which members are able to have a say in how the organisation is run. Every member is allocated to a branch on joining.
We hold our Conference in June each year in order to receive statutory reports, debate and agree changes to our Memorandum and Rules and consider other propositions.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the Society focussing on strategy and oversight. Board members have a collective legal responsibility to ensure that the organisation is run prudently and in the best interests of members.
If you’re a member of Benenden Personal Healthcare you can view details of your branch and upcoming meetings online by logging into My Benenden. Not registered yet? Register your membership online.
