Benenden is a mutual friendly society. When you join you become a member and this entitles you to ask for help with healthcare. Plus the member paying the membership is entitled to have a say in how the organisation is run. We are a mutual organisation and key decisions are taken by our members. The more members get involved, the more ideas we have, the better the debate and more informed the final decision.
Our branches are groups of members that form the democratic structure by which members are able to have a say in how the organisation is run. Every member is allocated to a branch on joining.
We hold our Conference in June each year in order to receive statutory reports, debate and agree changes to our Memorandum and Rules and consider other propositions.
Our 2021 member meetings will look a little different, we’re holding them online and we’d like you to get involved.
