What is the Member Forum?
The Member Forum is a small and diverse group of members who come together around four times a year, mostly virtually so it is accessible for everyone, to share ideas and talk openly about what matters to them.
We welcome a wide range of perspectives, and anyone who fits the eligibility criteria can apply. So whether you want to build new skills, grow your confidence or share ideas for the future, please do not hesitate to get involved
What does the Member Forum do?
We’re a mutual society, which means you're a member and not a customer. Members play an important part in shaping Benenden Health by sharing ideas, giving feedback and having their say. The Member Forum is one of the ways you can do this.
This space encourages open conversation between members and the Society. Everyone brings different experiences and perspectives, and it provides a place to share them in a way that benefits everyone.
The Forum gives us valuable insight that helps shape the choices we make, from the products we offer to our future direction.

What's involved?
The Member Forum doesn't require a lot of time, and the main thing is that you're happy to take part in a few key activities.
Join three to four meetings a year, mostly online with one in-person
Engage with our Online Community and join us at member events
Stay on the Forum for two years so that conversations and improvements can continue over time
It's not a huge commitment, but it makes a big difference.

A willingness to join three to four meetings a year, mostly virtual

An openness to listen to different views
A readiness to listen to others' views

If you're shortlisted, we will invite you to an online session between Monday 23 and Tuesday 31 March. This informal session is a chance to learn more about the Member Forum, meet the team and ask any questions.
