Being diagnosed and living with a long term health condition can take it's toll on your mental health. We're here to help.


Common long-term health conditions
  • Arthritis
  • Cancer
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

It is important to look after your general health and your mental health when you have a long-term health condition.

As well as access to mental health support, Benenden Health do have grants available for those suffering from long-term illnesses which are not covered by your Benenden Health membership. These grants can go towards the cost of specialist equipment, holidays or just to help you cope during this difficult time.



Help dealing with the mental strain

Living with a long-term health condition can impact negatively on your mental wellbeing.

  • Nervous and worried
  • You may also feel low in confidence about dealing with your difficulties or adjusting your everyday life around the long-term health condition
