A message from Benenden Health's Chief Executive

17th March 2020

We share a message from Bob Andrews, our Chief Executive Officer, following the government's advice on COVID-19

Dear Member,

I know that you, your family and your friends will be becoming increasingly concerned about Coronavirus (COVID-19). Because of that, I wanted to speak on behalf of everyone at Benenden Health to wish you all well and talk about what we’re doing in the current situation.

The ongoing wellbeing of our membership as well as our employees is of the highest importance to us. Therefore, we will be continuing to deliver our services to members as far as we possibly can, whilst also changing some of our working practices. We will do this in line with Government advice, to help play our part in protecting our loved ones and help reduce the strain on the NHS at this difficult time.

We are doing our best to continue to deliver a high quality service however, please be mindful that some of our telephone lines, especially our members services and 24/7 GP helpline, will be under increased pressure. Please also be aware that private hospitals across the country are being asked to support the NHS, so we expect consultations and treatments across the country to be cancelled or rescheduled to enable this.

We are continuing to post general health and wellbeing information from us and our clinical partners via our website and our social media channels such as Facebook.

The situation is constantly changing so to find out more regularly what we’re doing, we’re providing an ongoing update via our website.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message, please do take care of yourself and look out for those at most risk.

Bob Andrews
Chief Executive Officer
