A test takes just 60 seconds and can be used to help discover or monitor an irregular heart rhythm, such as atrial fibrillation, and help detect any heart rhythm related problems at an early stage.

Measure whenever you want
With FibriCheck, you can easily monitor your heart rhythm anytime, anywhere.
Regular measurements
The provider of the Fibricheck app recommends that you measure your heart rhythm twice daily or when you experience symptoms. This way any changes in your heart rhythm are detected more quickly.
Your access begins on the day you register with the FibriCheck app. Once registered you’ll be able to use the app to measure your heart rhythm as often as you need.

In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by Benenden Health, the use of any results and/or guidance is at your own risk.
Access to the Fibricheck app is subject to the separate terms and privacy policy of the provider, Qompium (a company incorporated under Belgian law). Please make sure you read the Fibricheck Terms of Use, the Fibricheck Instructions for Use and the Fibricheck Privacy Policy before registering for and/or using the Fibricheck app.
To register on and use the Fibricheck app you must be at least 18 years old.
The Fibricheck app may not be suitable for all members. Please read the FibriCheck's Terms of Use and Instructions for Use before accessing this service.
Your smartphone or tablet device will need to meet the minimum system requirements (specified on the download page). If your device does not meet these minimum system requirements, we are unable to guarantee that the FibriCheck App will work properly.
When you start using the FibriCheck App, you'll be asked to create an account to allow secure storage of your data. Limited, general personal details will be collected such as your name and email address, together with demographic information like your age, gender, country. Please read Section 2 of the FibriCheck Privacy Policy.
By using the service, you'll provide FibriCheck with your health data and health related data (such as your measurements) to support the detection of cardiac arrhythmias. If you complete their medical survey, you may also provide additional health data and health related data (such as information regarding your medication use, care path). Given its sensitive nature, additional technical and organisational measures are taken to safeguard your information.
FibriCheck will share no personal data with Benenden Health. For full information on how Fibricheck use your personal data and keep it secure, please see FibriCheck’s Privacy Policy.
A unique identifier linked to your Benenden Health membership will be shared with FibriCheck when you download the app and create your account, in order to provide access to the services. This unique identifier may also be used to end your FibriCheck subscription should your Benenden Health membership end. No personal data will be shared by Benenden Health or FibriCheck in providing this unique identifier.
Benenden Health recognises the importance of protecting personal and confidential information in all that we do. We take care to meet our legal duties, and we put in place all reasonable technical, security and procedural controls required to protect your personal information for the whole of its life, in whatever format we hold that information in. If your Benenden Healthcare memberships stops or is cancelled you'll still have access to your previous readings and reports on the Fibricheck app for a period of time, however, you will not be able to take new readings once your Benenden Healthcare membership has ended (see FibriCheck's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more details).

Disclaimer: Any results obtained through use of the FibriCheck service which identify heart rhythm irregularities and possible atrial fibrillation do not automatically qualify members for Diagnostic or Treatment services offered by Benenden Health as part of their membership. Disclaimer: FibriCheck may detect an irregular heart rhythm, such as atrial fibrillation, and may advise that you consult a medical professional. It is recommended that you visit your own GP to discuss this outcome.
Benenden Health's 24/7 GP Service can be used to discuss your symptoms and provide advice but will be unable to review your FibriCheck report and cannot provide a referral to a Cardiologist.

How to access the FibriCheck app
Log into the Benenden Health app and select 'Check your heart rhythm'.

Create an account on the Fibricheck app.
Perform a measurement straightaway and as many times as you like.
After each measurement, you'll receive an overview of your results.
Downloading the app
To activate your free FibriCheck subscription as a Benenden Health member, just download the FibriCheck app from the Health Toolkit section on the Benenden Health app.
Hit 'FibriCheck' on the app, click the link to find out how it works and then hit 'Get Started' to download the FibriCheck app. Once it's downloaded you'll be able to access it on your mobile device like all your other apps. Once you've done this step you can continue to access the service directly through the FibriCheck app or via the Benenden Health app - whatever you prefer.
Please note - you'll need to get started via Benenden Health app, if you download the FibriCheck app directly from the Apple App or Google Play Store you will be unable access the service free of charge.
How to take a measurement
On the Home screen, hit the '+ Start' measurement button and follow the on-screen instructions.
All you have to do is place your finger on your smartphone and tablet device's camera to measure your heart rate and rhythm for 60 seconds. The provider of the FibriCheck app recommend it's best to do this once in the morning and once in the evening. With additional readings if you're experiencing symptoms - such as breathlessness, palpitations or light-headedness.

After you've taken the measurement, you'll be asked two quick questions and your initial measurement will be displayed.
After each measurement, you'll receive an overview report of your result. If the app detects an irregularity, a medical expert will review your results and send you a full report within 48 hours.
