Not-for-profit, affordable healthcare provider Benenden Health supported its members’ health and wellbeing needs 173,179 times in 2025, reflecting continued high demand for accessible healthcare services across the UK.
Benenden Health has over 875,000 members nationwide, making it the UK’s leading private healthcare provider by way of covering more consumer lives than any other private provider in the country.
In 2025, Benenden Health supported 64,860 members with 24/7 GP appointments and 7,549 calls to its 24/7 Mental Health Helpline. The healthcare provider also reported 68,912 diagnostics services accessed and 30,547 physiotherapy appointments.
Benenden Health also noted 1,311 interactions with its Neurodiversity and Care Support Service, introduced as part of its expanding focus on holistic wellbeing. Service innovation also expanded in 2025 with its app-based, skin cancer detector, eye health check and the 'My Expert Health Coach' service, where members can access 30-minute appointments with trained clinicians on topics including mental health, menopause, gut health, sleep and weight management.
These findings reflect shifting healthcare needs and the continued importance placed on accessible, preventative and early-intervention services.
Benenden Health continues to rank as the most trusted private healthcare provider on Trustpilot, with a score of 4.5/5, and maintains consistently strong member satisfaction, scoring 8.5/10 in its most recent survey. The provider also retained key industry accolades at the Moneyfactscompare.co.uk awards last year, winning both 'Best Private Healthcare Provider' and 'Best Claims Service'.
Tom Woolgrove, CEO of Benenden Health, commented: "Our purpose has always been to make high-quality healthcare accessible to everyone, and 2025 shows just how vital that mission continues to be. With tens of thousands of appointments and diagnostics delivered this year, we’re seeing members make proactive choices about their health and getting the support they need, when they need it."
"But as a modern healthcare mutual, I'm incredibly proud of how we continue to evolve. Services like our Neurodiversity and Care Support Service underline our commitment to supporting the whole person, not just their immediate clinical needs. And with our new policy platform launching this year, we’ll be able to create even more flexible and future ready benefits that match the changing needs of our growing membership."
