Benenden Bullets take on York 10K
3rd August 2012
Benenden Healthcare staff will be donning their running shoes once again in York's annual Jane Tomlinson Run For All event on Sunday 5th August.
The team of five – Richard Johnston, Darenn Plowright, Neil Faddy, Thom Craigen and Jamie Kerwick – who will be running in the race as the ‘Benenden Bullets’, will be raising money for the Benenden Healthcare sponsored charities of the year – Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Action for Children.
Richard Johnston, Democratic Services Team Manager and Benenden Bullets Team Captain said: “Benenden Healthcare is delighted to be taking part in this event once again in support of our charities of the year. We’ve all been training hard for the run over the last few months and have had great support from colleagues, family and friends. Our charities – Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Action for Children are both excellent causes and the money that we raise can really help to make a difference. We are all really looking forward to taking part.”
The York run is the fourth annual race set up in memory of fundraiser Jane Tomlinson, who inspirationally dedicated her life to raising money for charity while suffering from cancer. The event will begin and end at York Racecourse and pass through York City Centre on Sunday 5th August.
