Benenden Group’s IT Director takes on a charity cycling challenge!
11th July 2014
The IT Director of the York-based mutual Benenden Group will be taking on a 65 mile bike riding challenge this weekend (13th July) in order to raise money for UK children’s charity, the NSPCC.
Andrew Radi, who will be cycling along with three other members of his family, will be aiming to cycle all the way from Old Trafford in Manchester to Blackpool promenade in a one day bike ride event this Sunday.
The extended Radi family have supported the NSPCC for almost 40 years through a variety of fundraising activities, helping to raise an average of £3000 annually for the charity which aims to end cruelty to children in the UK.
Andrew Radi said, “The work the NSPCC does for children throughout the UK is incredibly important and my family have always been keen to support wherever we can through these fundraising activities. The bike ride will be challenging but we’ve all trained hard and are raring to go!
“We completed the event back in 2010 and managed to raise over £1500 and we are hoping to raise as much money as we can this year for this very worthwhile cause.”
