15th June 2016
This week (Thursday 16th June) will see Benenden setting up its annual conference at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton - bringing with it an estimated boost to the local economy in the region of £170,000.
As a democratic mutual providing health and wellness services to a community of over 900,000 across the UK, decisions affecting the future direction of Benenden will be debated and voted upon by membership-elected branch delegates at the Conference.
The conference will see around 450 guests visiting the town, including 350 attendees from Benenden’s UK-wide branch network. Delegates will be coming together from across the country to debate a wide range of issues relating to the future direction of the organisation, including propositions raised by both branches and the organisation’s Board.
Renė Fraioli, Society Secretary at Benenden “As a democratic mutual, our members are at the heart of all decisions we take on how the business operates. Our annual conference is a great platform for members of our mutual organisation to come together from across the UK to discuss and decide upon what they feel is right for the future of Benenden. We always see a great deal of debate and discussion at our annual conferences and it’s fantastic to engage with our members in this way.
“I am very much looking forward to welcoming our members to Conference this week and hearing their thoughts and opinions as to how we can move the organisation forward.”
